On your mark...

Well here we are. I get set apart as a missionary in approximately 1.5 hours. That means no more social media or phone usage! I'd be lying if I said I was completely cool with that, but I'll do it for the good of the cause (let's be real, I'm slightly really addicted to my phone). I want to share with you how to contact me/ send me stuff/tell me about your life.
My email, which I can use once a week, is emily.andrus@myldsmail.net.
My mailing address in the Missionary Training Center (where I'll be until the first week of August)"

T-7 Days

Well, here we are. One week from entering the Missionary Training Center, one week from learning Spanish (for real this time), one week from teaching others about the gospel of Jesus Christ, one week from a lot of new things! Everything is bought and prepared, and so obviously I'm freaaaking out. In a chill, you-would-never-know-by-looking-at-my-face kind of way. Don't get me wrong, I'm also extremely excited, but something this important doesn't come around without its butterflies.

I'm pretty (super!) new to this blogging stuff, but I hope somebody will find what I have to say enjoyable and useful. Most of the stuff on here will be my words and experiences, edited or copied and pasted by a member of my family. We'll see how that goes! If you have any tips (literally anything, new title, content, anything) comment, let me know. It'll be an adventure for everybody.

The gospel of Jesus Christ is one of the most important things in my life. It makes me happier and more successful than I could be on my own. The Atonement of Jesus Christ buoys me up and reminds me on a daily basis that we do not have to struggle through life by ourselves. Joseph Smith restored the gospel of Christ on Earth as it was when Christ lived. Joseph Smith translated the Book of Mormon. Families ARE eternal. I know it. God loves every single person individually. He understands us and wants nothing more than to give us guidance. Guys, I KNOW these things. Alma, a Book of Mormon prophet, said
"Yea, and from that time even until now, I have labored without ceasing, that I might bring souls unto repentance; that I might bring them to taste of the exceeding joy of which I did taste; that they might also be born of God, and be filled with the Holy Ghost." Alma 36:24
He taught so others could feel the joy that he felt. That's why I'm serving a mission. I want others to be happy like I am. Thanks for all of your support and love!
